Should I buy this Tegu?

Hi, I just joined up because I'm looking to get a Tegu in the near future. I was searching online for a baby from the Fall 2012 season and I've also been talking back and forth with someone who has one locally.

Basically, I wanted to ask some opinions about whether or not I should get the local Tegu based on the experience of others.

He's a Black & White Argentine, around 2 years old, and she says he's 4 1/2 feet long. I haven't met him in person yet. She sent me two pics, but they're from a phone and not that clear. He doesn't have any signs of neglect other than she said his skin is rough around his neck a little because he was briefly in with another Tegu and got nibbled on. She also said sometimes he has trouble shedding out the very tip of his tail.

She says he eats quail eggs, ground turkey and chicken, organ meats, and small/medium rats.

He was purchased from Reptile Specialist in Tucson, which is a well known store here. I wonder where they get their stock from? I thought about calling and asking.

Anyway she wants $300 for him and she said she would give me his indoor enclosure, which from the pic looks pretty nice. It's 6 feet long and 4 feet wide. It would need to be taken apart to be moved, but putting it back together can't be hard. Also she's giving me all the lighting fixtures, bulbs, etc.

I feel like this is probably a good deal that I don't want to pass up. What do you think? I'm just nervous cause I consider this a big commitment that I want to do right from the start. So if this is your Tegu on the forum, sorry if this is creepy!

PS: I posted the pics, too. Let me know what you think of him.

I'm still going to build an outside enclosure. I've already got most of the hardware for it. But that's good to know that's too small for his size. I kind of figured it was.

It's really hard to tell someone if they should buy an animal or not. His tail looks a bit rough, too. And I do wonder if he is in fact 4.5ft (54inches???).

I can't really see the tail. But he doesn't look four and a half feet in that pic, no. It must be old or something, because if that's him in that 6 foot enclosure, that makes no sense.

Is your cage a glass aquarium though? If so, that is probably why.
