Shredding

Hello ,
Spunky was kind of cranky the last two days and was eating like there was no tomorrow. He slept a lot, and everytime I want to pet him (wich he liked before) he walked away.
Today I found a little piece of skin in the big pool inside his cage, so he is shredding for the first time since I got him !
I have read a lot about shredding tegu's , but this is the first time i see it in real life. I have humidity set a bit higher to 85% and refreshed his pool twice a day instead of once (he doesn't poop in it yet).

Is there anything special I can do to make it a little easier and more confortable for my gu ?

If you havnt done so already, put a nice size rock with jagged edges in his enclosure for him to rub against, personally i like slate tiles because they triple as a hide, a basking platform and they can rub against it to help with shedding

Yesterday Spunky shed for the first time since i got him
It took him two days to get rid of it all ( with a little help from me because I was afraid he couldn't get his toes out).
It was realy nice to see his bright new skin, and his mood has become a lot better now that he is done
He has slept a lot more, and could eat twice as much as usual in the days before he started shedding.
