Without know if its cancerous or not there is no way someone can give good advice over the net. You are going to have to take it to the vet to get it checked out. I could ask what kind of tumor, is it soft or hard, flushed with the skin or lose; but really a vet needs to see it.

Like Chevis said, there is no way of knowing without a vet visit and a very probable biopsy. Best case scenario is that it is a lipoma or fatty tumor which will need to be removed but is not malignant. In any event you should have a vet see him as soon as possible....tomorrow would be good.

I suggest going to the doctor before it gets larger. My friends have a husky and he started getting a lot of tumors, one ended up growing to like 2 pounds, its not healthy for them and he had to get his tumors removed even though they weren't cancerous. One of my rats also had non-cancerous tumors that ended up getting HUGE when she was very old and she ended up losing her hair and got very sick and eventually died :[ there was nothing that could be done for her, but for your dog there definitely is.

My dog went through serious surgery to remove breast cancer tumors, it was an expensive ordeal but we all know money isnt an issue when its for a loved pet. Seriously take your dog to the vet and get it checked, like other have said they can be fatty tumors or cancerous and no way in knowing without a vets advice
