how much time would you say your tegu spends sleeping, hiding, buried?
Gator comes out in the morning around 9ish and basks for a while and then eats or sometimes not then he will spend the rest of the day buried sleeping or whatever hes doing. hes healthy as a horse a near i can tell. when i get him out hes feisty as all get out and plenty strong for only being about 19 inches from tip to tip. i guessing this is normal behavior but thats why im asking all you experts...

Typically Colombians don't hibernate, around this time of year they slow down and you may not see them for days at time. But they usually pop back up do regular stuff and repeat. They're not gone for months at a time like some of the other tegus.
