Gwangi, my Bobby Hill so called "Extreme" has suddenly over the last week slowed down eating dramatically. It eats about 1/4 to 1/3 of what it was eating the week before. Poops are still coming out, so I doubt if it is an impaction, especially since it is on peat moss bedding (no large particles). Also, it has been really restless, digging a lot and jumping at the top of the cage. I was told it is a male and it is now 7mos old and was 37" long on Xmas. I haven't measured since then. I offered 4 mice today and he (she?) ate 2. Much less food than normal. I tried the mice because he was on a chicken based diet and I figured that He may be bored with the same old diet, but he ate about the same amount of mice as he had of chicken. He seems healthy and active and loves coming out of his enclosure and shows no sign of slowing down. Could this be puberty?
