Spring Aggression?

So, moved from northern NY to NC about a week ago, temps here are about 30-40 degrees higher down here so I know my tegu can feel the pressure difference. Aside from the whole moving process, I'm wondering if it's common for them to get a bit feisty during the spring, as he has just started producing sperm plugs along with his poop (4-5 days ago)?

Got him as a juvenile from LLL Reptile, so unfortunately I don't know his exact age. Going off his size (which I know isn't a reliable way to determine age), gender, and recent increase in jowel size, and listing as a juvenile, I BELIEVE he's about a year old. Give or take a few months.

Mine is about a year and a half old, closing in on 2 years. Puberty is such a thing. He's been a royal pain in the rear on some days, and absolutely awesome the others. Supposedly this happens to a good amount during this last year of growth, then when they're full size they settle down. I picture it as he's gaining his confidence which is coming with his size.

Stay persistent. Just be patient and try to keep what's best for the animal in mind. He will settle down with time and you'll be thankful you didn't just give up! :) hang in there
