Hi,i want to ask for some advice again.why does my tegu like to fled away from me or anybody if let him roam at my yard,i have kept him for almost a year.i usually handled him 15 minutes a day or once for each 2 days.at tge first two months,she like to try to bite me.but now sge never bite me except if i hold my feeding tong to close to his mouth.is it normal for a yearling to be still skitish?will my tegu get calmer in the coming years?need advices,thanks..

It could be normal if the lizard is scared of the big open space. How is he in a room and on your lap or in cage where you can pet him?

Very calm when she is in the cage.if i let him sit in my lap she doesn't like to be pet for too long.but sometimes i put her on my tummy and pet her,she stay and close her eyes for almost 5 minutes maybe
