trying to find out if female tegus lay eggs without a male and do they get aggressive around egg laying time?

I don't know of incidents of unmated female argies laying infertile clutches. However, they are good mothers that defend their nest of eggs.

I've never encountered an unbred female that laid eggs, nor have I heard of such. They do tend to get more aggressive during egg laying time.
