Your question is very broad and openended... makes it hard to really answer...

*Bigger is always better...

*Give them more than a big empty box. Things to crawl over and breaking lines of sight to other areas of the enclsoure give your Tegu more of an opportunity to "explore"

*Keep the adult size of the animal in mind when designing it's long term enclosure.

*Upgrade sooner rather than later. Every single Tegu owner is surprised at how fast they grow, even when they know how fast they grow.

*Spoil them rotten, it will pay off in their attitudes!

My indoor/winter enclosure is 8' x 3' @ 3.5' tall...
My summer 'enclosure' is a 12' x 6' ...
