tegu enclosure questions

how hi should i make my tegu cage.

1st im going to have a powersun bulb for my heat and uv

2nd how deep should my substrate be.

so with those two factors im not sure how hi to make it.

substrate depth + bulb hanging down + living area= how tall

pics would be nice to see if you all have any. thank you

I think I used just under 3ft. I have anywhere from 3" to 6" deep substrate, and I have a rock that is probably about 8" tall or so(partially buried) for basking. I dont have a mvb in there now, but I do have a 90 watt halogen which is about the same size and they are probably 14-18" from it(just guessing). I had them in a cage temporarily before this, and it was probably 20" tall. The male could actually just stand up and get at the bulbs/fixtures(no good!). I think 3ft is the ideal height for an indoor cage.
