Tegu help!

Hello everyone I am new to tegus and was wondering i'd they realy have to hibernate and can you stop them

yes you can stop the tegus from hibernating, unless yu get a blue or a columbian, they do not hibernate at all. i reccommend letting them sleep, its natural instinct. and if you plan on breeding your tegus would need to hibernate.

Strange... my blues slept for over 4 months straight without moving last year..
I better tell them to stop that hahaha
