Tegu Jewelry

So I recently got someone to make me a pendant out of some of my bratchild's shed scales, but ultimately, I wasn't happy with it. It was lovely, don't get me wrong, but not what I was looking for. So, I'm working now on creating my own. The craft store was most helpful.

Ended up with these, which are still in progress/being worked on. I'm thinking about starting to sell pendants made from shed scales, either having people send me the sheds for more customization of the piece, or just working with the massive amount of sheds I've still got from my Ammy. She's sleeping now, so she won't be shedding anymore for a few months, but I've got a stock saved.

Not sure yet how much I would sell pendants for, but still just wanted to share these to see what people think.

I've been saving Ezzys first shed, trying to think of something creative to do with it. Pendants are a really excellent idea! Now I must investigate my local hobby lobby!

Getting more creative now! This one turned out beautifully, and is now for sale for $25 if anyone is interested. I can also take shed skin that you send me and make it into similar hardy pendants like this one. This one is made to last, with a solid metal bezel and domed glass insert so that the scales are not exposed.

I put some of my stuff up on Etsy today. I can make any of these with sheds from your lizards as well.

This is really great!!! I love etsy and am addicted to shopping on it! i am pleased to have found now TWO different tegu fans that have tegu related etsy shops!! I am so going to buy one of your jewelry peices!! I plan to open an etsy shop for Tegu lovers as well, I just have not decided what I want to do yet!
