My tegus love them. I fed Guru cut up turkey necks last year. They're pretty cheap, nows the time to get them! I stocked up the other day at the store. I believe it was like $1.50ish per lb. Just something to keep in mind for some of the newer members.

Not just for tegus but dogs too :p. I picked up a couple of packs after I got Natsuki. The smaller ones where easy to break down and cut up but there were three that were huge. I got through one and gave it to the Gus but didn't want to mess with the other two so I gave them to my dogs.

Powder and Panini went through it with no problem they're use to raw and it helps clean their teeth. But Achilles,.. it was his first time having anything that big raw and he didn't know what to do with it. It took him about an hour of picking it up and dropping it before he started chomping on it. Even then he wouldn't touch it with anything other than his mouth or let it touch him.

When I think about it Powder ate it right away but he wouldn't let it touch him either lol.

So yeah,.. not just for tegus and I will be stocking up.

Lol I haven't tried much raw food with my dogs. I might try a couple smaller pieces tomorrow. The necks are really hard to cut, I'm not sure what exactly the giblets are but they're significantly smaller. All of those things seem to make nicer treats here and there.
I know some people eat livers, hearts, etc but I still feel somewhat weird when I buy all the little packs in the store.. I've never tried any of it myself. My dads family eats cow tongue and cow brain here and there, mainly tacos i think. lol I've never gotten enough courage to try it.

giblets is the name for all the nasty stuff in a bird like the heart, gizzard, liver, neck etc. gizzards are the birds second stomach. I found this out while cutting some up for the tegu and a little rock fell out of one! I googled it and apparently chickens and turkeys have a second stomach used to further digest their food. they swallow pebbles to further grind their food. fascinating. lol
I still can't see how people can eat tongues, necks and organs!! :x

Ohhhh good to know! I thought they were pretty much the same. I'm not sure I'll ever try those 'weird' parts. My brothers tried tongue and he liked it. No thanks! Lol.
