i just noticed my 7 mon old b&w's toe twitching today. it is VERY mild, but im still concerned this may be the onset of MBD. He gets plenty of UVB (12 hours daily) the bulb is only 2 weeks old, but i havent been supplementing food with d3. should i start doing this once a week? what else can i do for the little guy? thanks in advance!!

You're half-right...

He should be dusting, but with CALCIUM, not D3. Calcium without D3 is what you want to be dusting with. You can ask Bobby about this, or read the posts that pertain to this.

They get regular calcium. I just figured they didn't need too much d3. Ill start doing more often on the d3

From the man himself (Bobby)...but of course, do what you feel you have to do:

"My choice of vitamin dust is Zoo-Med Repti Calcium without D3; it is made with calcium carbonate and not crushed oyster shell"

"ashesc212, you need to throw that stuff away, get some Repti-Calcium without D3 by zoo-med, it is much better stuff"

Well, we dust EVERY SINGLE MEAL (with the exception of adult whole prey foods) with calcium powder. Once or twice a week, we use the calcium WITH Vit D3, and then use the calcium WITHOUT Vit D3 for the other days.
