we want to get another tegu but the old owner of the one we have now (Chili) is saying Chili will freak out if we get another. She says she will be crabby for days. Is this just common when getting two tegus? What concerns should I look at when getting a second tegu? How should we introduce them if we get a second or should we just not introduce them? (it would be male and female)

It could go either way some animals prefer to be alone while other don't mind having company and learn to tolerate others. What ever you decide to do quarantine the new pet and make sure you have the full means and set up to properly care for them in separate enclosures if things don't work out.
