How often should i change my tegus UV bulb?

It depends on the model. For example powersuns are said to lose their uv parts much faster than the megaray. I would just measure them with a special device when you first get them and after a time, so when it lost much uv parts go and change it.

Mega-ray bulls put out much more uvb and last for 12-18 months. Regular uvb bulbs from pet stores start to loose uvb very quickly. Mega-ray is pretty inexpensive compared also.

Yes, I had a powersun originally but changed to megaray very fast.
