i was just curious if anyone knows if this is safe for tegus or if they will even try to eat it. I'm guessing a tegu would have trouble drinking it but, i was wondering if it would be a good way to get vitamins and nutrients in a type of natural way(not as natural as solid fresh vegetables and fruit).

Try to pick up some monavie . I gave some to my Gu when came to me underweight and dehydrated . In about a month he looked like a NEW lizard . I occasionally drink some myself. Its good.

If you can mix it with Turkey or ??? and he will eat it, I don't see the harm in it. A little would go a long way however and I would buy only low sodium V-8. I am thinking a tablespoon in 1/2 pound of ground turkey.

yeah i guess the big problem would be the sodium. you could maybe mix a tablespoon with the calcium so its easier to mix into the turkey but i don't know if it would mess with the calcium. just wondering it seemed like a good idea.

I looked up the Monavie its a nutritional shake. I was worried V-8 might not be safe but i don't know if i would feel comfortable giving it to him. If got10 said he used some and it worked then i guess i can't argue with that. Fortunately my Gu isn't underweight but curious about being dehydrated. what are the symptoms for a tegu who's dehydrated. The reason i ask is his previous owners don't look like they kept the humidity up except for when he starts shedding. He's drinking plenty of water so i might be worried about nothing.
