im just wondering if you can get a tegu like mounted when it passes away idk just a weird and curious no lookin to kill and stuff my tegu lol just curious
Yes,.. I had planned on doing that or just preserving and keeping their skeletons. But that was the last and furthest thing from my mind when they passed on. So I just had mine Cremated. Also depending on where you live Taxidermy is not cheap and some places don't do pets,.. while others specialize in them.
You know when a pet passes its a very emotional time u just dont think about stuff like that, i know my head was spinning and i just couldnt think straight, but i dont think i would want my pet stuffed and mounted, i just buried them in the backyard

I was a taxidermist for 13 years. So Yes you can have them preserved. However, most taxidermists will not do pets because the people know an animal so intimately that "ol Fido" never looks quite the same regardless of the quality. The reality is that it would cost you more than you would pay for another Tegu. Since it does not have hair and it would require a "Paint Job" You would need a Top Taxidermist to do the job. My Guess somewhere around $800 to $1000. However "Jimmys stuff it shop" would do it for $100 and then you could take him to small claims for the terrible work he did on your prized gu'.
lol I kept my last bearded dragon's skull, tried to give the rest of him a Viking funeral, it was in the midle of winter so the ground was frozen and I couldn't simply bury him..
