What's on my Tegu's head??

So my boy Teegee has had these scars on his head since we got him. He was a wild caught Florida tegu so in unsure of what caused them. He has one on his nose and the top of the head.
I've been noticing some discoloration on the scales around the scar on his head. It literally looks like someone spilled ink on him.. And I've noticed it's getting bigger. Anyone have any idea what it could possibly be??

Well, FL WCs typically have nose and head scars from trying to escape the live trap. Mine do. You could put triple ointment on it, but unless it shows swelling and pus, My guess is it's beginning to shed out.

It's not really on the scar it's self but a scale near it. It has gotten bigger. He didn't have it from what I saw when we first got him. He just shed a few days ago and it's a bit bigger now. The discoloration itself isn't rough or feel like a scar or dead scales, just looks like an ink stain.

How long have you had him?

Could be from a hemorrhage under the skin is it soft or does it cause discomfort when you put reassure on it?
