Ah, what we will do for a little fun!!!! Hey people snort meth which is chemical poison, so licking a frog aint no surprise to me (I did hear about this a few year back when it surfaced then). There are some who thing if it's in nature we should be able to consume it, i.e. coka leaves, Marijuana, peyote, etc....

There are some much more potent hallucinogenic toads to lick if you want to see stuff. I agree with triple, if it exists, go for it, but don't screw with it. Coca leaves were chewed for years in moderation, now people stick the equivolent of 40 leaves up their nose in one shot. However, don't lick toads people. Your chances of "breeding" will be little to nil.

Here in AZ, some of our toads have this allergen(s) that they emit or secret? It makes people sneeze/eyes swell lol. I believe it is found in the spadefoot toad species lol. A friend of mine I guess is incredbily allergic to them and he has a bad reaction to being near them or perhaps coming in contact with? It is noted in one of the newer AZ herp field guides, just cant remember which one lol. Watch family guy on lickin toads btw.

I'd be interested in more information about this suppoesed allergy your frined has. If I recall, unless you dry an amphibian or come in direct contact with its secretions, there is nothing to be allergic to. They have no hair, no dander, nothing to set off a reaction.

Also, why is it so amusing to think about licking a toad to get high, but not when you smoke cigarettes for a nicotine high, drink alcohol for a fermented high or eat chocolate for a ..... darn it, can't think of what those little things in your brain are called....ahhhh endorphic high.

The toad was also used by those seeking visions or new outlooks long before most of the west was populated and is not alone used in the American West. They are known world wide for having toxins that are amazing and mulitfunctional.

I missed the coming in contact with part. Short of that I don't see cause for an allergic reaction. Do you?
