Most likely brumation. This is not a full hibernation.

From my research some Tegus do this while others do not.

Lower temperatures will influence this behavior.

Check your temps and see if you need to raise the temperature during these Fall/Winter months to prevent this.

I just acquired a captive bred Solomon island skink, aka prehensile tailed or monkey-tailed skink. Everybody else is great, my gu is amazing

I got it from major league exotic pets at an expo. Same people I acquired my rhino from(although, it’s from Starborn line)
