Eema (formerly known as Krone) is back!

Thanks! She's already about 37in. long. Haven't weighed her though but I'm sure she's in the 2-4lb range, maybe more.

Eema (formerly known as Krone) is back!

Wow, this section is a ghost town. I guess there aren't many Cyclura owners out there. lol. Anywho, I haven't posted in a while due to being super busy. Eema turned 2 years old this past October. I thought she was a he up until she laid a few eggs. For a few days prior, she was very...

    nails trimmed

    Here's the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tr2S0c6Xf2o Pretty cool! I haven't cut Krone's nails yet but I think I shouldn't have a problem...

    Thought Eddie was dead

For the last 3 weeks or so, Krone has slowed down a bit as well. In the summer I would always see him awake and basking by 7:30am. Now, there are days when he won't come out of his hide til noon. Some days he would pick at his food and others he would devour the whole bowl. I'm pretty sure...

    Krone is back!

Thanks for the info! I will try the warm water tub method and see if he/she can poop in there. I'm real curious to know what sex Krone is. I'm assuming boy and would hate to change the name. lol. Only time will tell.

    Krone is back!

Hey guys. I've been so busy with work that I haven't had the chance to give an update on Krone. He's 1 year old already! I got him in March of this year from Rob Ehrig. He was a bit feisty when he was younger but has mellowed out a bit since then. He will still hiss and whip his tail a bit...

    What kind is he? :s

You should have taken a pic with your hand open so we can see the body. From the pics though, I think it's just a hypo leopard gecko.

    Rhino iguana with weird behavior.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I jumped the gun. I let him roam the livingroom for a while this morning and of course he did it again. 10 minutes later I noticed his chest and neck was full of loose shed! Smart little fella! I wish I could have taken a small video of it. Next time...

    Rhino iguana with weird behavior.

I have noticed lately that Krone has started scratching the glass doors wanting to get out. About an hour ago I slid open the glass door just to see what he would do. He climbed out of his enclosure and started walking around my livingroom, curious as usual. What struck me as odd is he...

    Russet Rhino video

Mine does it all the time now. When I feed him now, he'll lunge and stand on top of his dish! He'll even tailwhip me a little. lol. If I keep my hand in there a while, he'll stop. Funny little bugger!

recommendations on other lizards before getting a tegu

Crested geckos and Leopard geckos are literally some of the easiest lizards to keep. Cresteds don't need heat and neither of them need uvb!

    Russet Rhino video

Yeah, Krone is weird. Some days he'll lunge at me as soon as I slide open his window to feed him. Other days he'll just stare at me. He'll lunge at me with his mouth open and even feel his teeth but he won't clamp down or bite. LIl guy is crazy! lol.
