I've got a fog system at the top of her cage that keeps the humidity up there. And I can't even get a finger nail under the skin to try and help but even if i could that 10lb tail would definitely start swinging. I guess I'll try the baby oil because it is mildly evident in the size difference...
She is at the point where she is not growing much. She is almost a year and 44" long. Her last shed was over a month ago and the second half of her tail still has the old skin on it and I am concerned that it may begin constricting her tail. She has between 70 and 90 percent humidity plus I...
I understand that were supposed to handle them everyday but we are also not supposed to remove them from hiding. Now what if they are only out when we get home a couple of times a week. I feel like my relationship is suffering because I can't handle her as much.
Got it on craigslist for 150 bucks. took it apart in about 10 pieces and put it back together in the apt. 8' long 6.5 ' tall and 34" wide. She must be part iguana 'cause she climbs the whole thing.
chewie was doing the same thing, her cage is two feet tall and was somehow climbing out of the top wher the lamp is. i screwed some screen over the hole now she has rubbed the scales off her nose twice. i have some neosporen* on it but what can i do to stop this, can uvb get through glass or...
Thanks all we bought the fogger and hope it will arrive soon. I told her she was right regardless 'cause i can never win that war..lol and i meant that she is a jam x white not purdy excuse the mistake. but i am very excited to try it out and i will definitely post my findings.
chewie my 42" black and white argentine for jam x purdy is having trouble shedding and i'm almost positive that it is due to the humidity which i can't keep consistent above 60 percent. I want to get something for her but my wife in her infininite wisdom seems to think that a myster would work...
I take chewie out about 3-4 times a week to roam after she poos (otherwise it ends up on the carpet..not fun) it used to be every day but i just rescued a 3 yr old presa canario and she is still learning not to sniff and bother the gu so much.
Beautiful lizard, always admired them just don't have the deep pockets. Hope she warms up to you and you have a gerat starting point on the cage just needs a womans touch. lol
I'm pretty sure chewie ended up being a girl but she's a hefty one at just over 37". She eats grapes, rasberries, her turkey concoction and small or medium rats depending on what the pet store has. I had her out the other day and put some small pieces of hotdog that my son didn't finish in my...
