Sorry I haven't been here for quite a while. Latest update on my doings is I got another female recently, a gorgeous High White I've called Frejya and Ernie took a shine to her real quick. She laid 26 eggs a few days ago, 3 were duds but the others look great. These guys should hatch on my...
Here's some footage of my blues hatching on the 1st May, please ignore the date stamp on the video cos it's wrong and irritating. We've called this baby Godzilla just because it was from the biggest egg. I adore these guys and they are really taming down already. I've posted this under Genreal...
Beautiful baby Blue Tegus available for £350. They hatched on 01st May 2013 in perfect condition and health andhave been bred from my unrelated pair. My babies are all very active and eating really well, they are also taming down quickly. These boys and girls will have lovely colouration from...
Wow, what a time I've had. On Tuesday I came home and there was a cheeky face in one of the egg tubs. I was especially overjoyed as this little lovely was from an egg I nearly discarded, lesson, never give up on an egg. I called work and told them to forget any chance of seeing me the next day...
Thanks Josh, I'm very flattered you refer to it as pretty countryside but it's part of my garden. The smoke is just my very nice neighbours bonfire, they love seeing my girls taking the gu's for a walk out back. I'm formulating plans for outside pens and another outbuilding for various herps I...
[attachment=6816][attachment=6817]I have British Blue Tegu eggs due to hatch in a couple of weeks in the UK. The parents are unrelated and very strong and healthy, they have plenty of excersise as they have their own room as an enclosure. The hatchlings are only likely to be available for UK...
It's the garden mate, we get snakes along the hedgerow which is great. I often get calls from people in the village because they've got loads of hatchling grass snakes on their patios. I either relaese them at my place or on Kirkby Moor. Plenty of adders and slow worms too.
[attachment=6803][attachment=6804][attachment=6805]Eventually the sun has come out. Ernie loved being out but Maya was a bit grumpy so stayed in the outbuilding room. I'm currently planning a nice outdoor enclosure for them. Ernie was so well behaved that I won't bother with the harness from now...
[attachment=6802]Here's mine, they have their own room which has a a domestic warm mist humidifier. The viv on the table they use mainly as their hide and sleep their every night, the humidity is slightly higher in there and they come and go by climbing a branch. i used to have the viv on the...
Great vid Chris, wish i'd videod mine at the weekend now as they were doing the same thing, but as you know I didn't bother because I was stupidly only thinking of the difficulty I'm having uploading just pics to facebook. I should of thought about this forum. Nice one for sharing yours here.
You lucky lucky soul. As I said you have to be really really easily pleased to be a content herper over here, the winter slightly gets in the way aswell!
Lol, warm beer is an aquired taste. What I do have here is I live in one of the few parts of the UK that is alive with wild reptiles, adders (vipers) grass snakes, Viviparous lizards, slow worms (legless lizards) are thick on the ground, the UK can keep an easily pleased herper happy, even with...
