Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share this with you!! I just finished the initial setup of my vavarium I am making. Hopefully, I have my plants by the end of the week but definetly next week if not. I am going to house a group of 3-4 Blue and Black D. auratus Dart Frogs in it. I made it all by myself and had alot of fun doing it. I would write up a how to section but you can find it all on blackjungle.com's tuturial because that is what I used. There are 2 waterfalls, a small one on the left and a bigger towards the right. The pictures don't do it justice though. Once I plant it, I will come back and post some updated pics!! What do you guys think so far?

the idea is that it will be self contained eco system but I will have to see what happens. I have a false bottom so the plants can grow and be maintained. Water changes will also help. The frog poop will act as fertilizer for the plants. Built it for less than $100 the most expensive part will be finding an aquarium/terrarium.

I cleaned my dart frog tank very little (and more or less spot cleaned) when I had it going. It was probably the least maintenence of all of my tanks.. which is surprising since so many sites seem to suggest that they are one of hardest to maintain.

did you take any pics of you putting it all together ? probably not or you would have already posted them

nah I didn't take pics of the building only because I used blackjungle's setup ideas. I will post some more pics once I get it planted. Then a few months down the line I am going to get my darts. Weather is too cold to ship them so I will have to wait until better climate.

yeah I was actually considering some cresties but wanted to try the Darts instead. If you got a tank lying around it's really easy to convert.
